Aatrox Twerk refers to a fan-made animation of the League of Legends (LoL) character Aatrox twerking made by animator TRAZ A GLOCK. The video, originally uploaded in May 2024, achieved virality as a punchline in bait-and-switch memes on Instagram, mostly created by user @dishebhsharma, in the spring of 2025.

Origin

On May 19th, 2024, animator and X / Twitter user @TicaBauAu posted a humorous animation of League of Legends character Aatrox saying his signature line, "I am not your enemy, I am the enemy," and twerking to a phonk song. The video (shown below) garnered over 421,000 views, 1,700 reposts and 9,500 likes on X^[1] and 1,900 likes on Instagram^[2] in one year.

On May 22nd, 2024, YouTube^[3] user sherif ayman uploaded the video to the platform.

On June 24th, 2024, TikTok^[4] user macius.z.kranu posted the earliest discovered meme based on the animation, a bait-and-switch meme in which Aatrox gameplay transitioned into the twerking clip. The post (shown below) garnered over 990,000 views and 118,000 likes in one year.

On March 17th, 2025, Instagram^[5] user dishebhsharma posted a bait-and-switch meme in which a video of a man poking a tire bubble with a pair of scissors was suddenly interrupted by the Aatrox Twerk clip. The video^[6] (shown below) received over 240,000 likes in two months.

Following the success of the first video, @dishebhsharma continued posting bait-and-switch memes that used the clip as a punchline in the following weeks, with multiple examples going viral.

For example, on March 21st, @dishebhsarma posted a meme that garnered over 1 million likes on Instagram^[6] in two months (shown below).

Instagram user @dishebhsharma continued using the clip in his bait-and-switch memes through April and May 2025, with his name becoming associated with the meme to the point that users commented about the name of the account giving away the punchline.
