About

AI Food Yelling At You is an informative AI video meme trend in which people generate videos of food and other products yelling at the viewer and scolding them, often for not cooking, preparing or storing them properly, while teaching the viewer how to properly treat and use them. The AI trend was started in mid-2025 by TikToker @freshhacks and was popularized in December 2025 and January 2026 by TikTokers @livelongerlab and @thingstalkback. As the trend grew more viral in early 2026, TikTokers began posting videos recreating it and bringing more attention to it.

Origin

On August 5th, 2025, TikToker[1] @freshhacks posted an AI-generated video of an onion angrily wondering why it was put in the fridge, claiming that it will rot faster in the fridge, garnering over 18,200 views in five months. This is the earliest known example of the trend.

@freshhacks Think the fridge is always the best place for Onion? Think twice Karen 😅 #animation #funniest #reveng #ai #lifehacks #foodtips #recipes ♬ original sound – Fresh Hacks

The same TikToker continued to post videos of AI food and products offering angry educational advice in the following months.

On August 15th, the TikToker[2] posted a version of the meme where a coffee bean reminds you to put it in a jar, a banana reminds you to store it outside the fridge and lettuce is invited into a container for freshness, garnering over 420,000 views in five months.

@freshhacks Storage Secrets: The Complaints of Coffee, Banana, and Lettuce Did you know that your food is suffering because of your storage mistakes? In this video, we reveal the struggles of fruits and vegetables through short, humorous, and touching stories. Watch the coffee as it screams from the oxygen invasion, the lettuce as it gasps for air, and the banana as it shivers from the cold inside the refrigerator. This video will make you think twice about the way you store your food. #groceries #ai #recipes #secrets #foodstorage ♬ original sound – Fresh Hacks

In December 2025, TikToker[3] @livelongerlab started following the trend. On December 30th, 2025, they posted a video following the format that begins with a bowl of rice, garnering over 14 million views in a month.
