All My Apes Gone

All My Apes Gone refers to a tweet sent out by a Bored Ape Yacht Club enthusiast announcing that he had been hacked and his ape NFTs were stolen in late 2021. The catchphrase "All My Apes Gone" became a joke on Twitter shortly after as users posted GIFs and tweets mocking the user for his plight.
Origin
On December 30th, 2021, Twitter user @toddkramer1[1] posted, "I been hacked. all my apes gone. this just sold please help me." The tweet gained over 500 retweets, 2,500 quote-tweets and 2,500 likes in less than 24 hours before it was widely mocked after being posted (shown below).
Spread
Following the tweet on December 30th, 2021, "all my apes gone" began appearing in jokes on Twitter as people mocked the phrase and @toddkramer1's plight. For example, that same day, Twitter user @jacobdotgov[2] posted a parody of the lyrics to "California Dreamin'" by The Mamas and the Papas, gaining over 30 retweets and 260 likes in less than 24 hours (shown below, left). User @catholicdad420[3] then posted a parody of song lyrics to Kanye West's "All Of The Lights," gaining over 30 retweets and 670 likes in the same timeframe (shown below, right).
Other examples include a tweet by @gatorsafterdark[4] on December 30th that made a You're Laughing joke, gaining over 200 retweets and 1,400 likes in less than 24 hours (shown below, left). User @FredDelicious[5] quote-tweeted the original with a Simpsons joke, gaining over 150 retweets and 1,500 likes in the same timeframe (shown below, right).
