Armanibanz "WDYM" Takes or I'm Finna Leave refers to a series of memes using the song "WDYM?" by Armanibanz in which attractive anime or fictional characters are shown one-by-one saying a variation of the phrase, "Come over here," followed by a video of someone walking towards each character, with one unattractive or inappropriately aged character added into the mix as Armanibanz sings, "I'm finna leave," as the walking character is shown reversing course.

The memes, which essentially use the song to "Smash or Pass" characters, first started appearing on TikTok as early as February 2022. When they first started, the memes were about ranking the skills or power levels of various characters. The memes experienced a resurgence in virality in early June 2026, sometimes mixing in the Subaru Stairs meme as the walking reaction.

Origin

The earliest known "WDYM" take meme was posted by TikToker^[1] @fathermal on February 10th, 2022, garnering over 144,000 views in four years. The meme uses characters from the anime series Blue Lock and essentially ranks different soccer players in the series based on their individual skills.

The format spread in 2022 as a way of ranking characters against one another. The trend became increasingly sexualized as it evolved over the following years.

For example, on February 22nd, 2022, TikToker^[2] @reinerwhimpers posted a version of the meme with several anime series, garnering over 359,000 views in four years.

The trend had a resurgence in popularity in June 2026, with new versions of the meme essentially being "Smash or Pass" videos. These memes tend to use the "Subaru Stairs" meme.

For example, on June 2nd, 2026, TikToker^[3] @shrine.fx0 posted a version of the meme with Bleach characters, garnering over 540,000 views in two weeks.
