Attack From The Enemy or Cancel On Plans refers to a viral video from a Girls Gone Bible podcast clip in which three Christian women discuss how when a person feels at the last second as if they are too tired or not in the mood to follow through with plans they once looked forward to, it is an "attack from the enemy," i.e., an indication of Satan's influence. According to the podcasters, the devil knows that if the person were to go through with their social plans, good things would happen for them and so the devil tries to tempt them away from going. The post circulated widely on social media in March 2024, with many non-Christians agreeing with its message and referencing it in memes or jokes.

Origin

The video was first posted to the Girls Gone Bible YouTube channel on March 1st, 2024, and then as a reel to the Instagram page of the podcast on March 7th.[1] On YouTube, it received over 160,000 views and 8,100 likes, while on Instagram it received over 59,000 likes in the course of a week (seen below).



The Girls Gone Bible podcast, hosted by Angela Halili and Arielle Reitsma, is about "all things Jesus, all things life."[2]

Spread

On X, the Christian Nightmares account, which gathers and reposts evangelical content online, posted a clip of the podcast on March 13th, 2024, receiving over 5,600 likes and nearly 2,000 reposts in five days (seen below). The account shared with Know Your Meme that the video had been suggested to them as content by an Instagram follower.[3]


Others hopped on the trend, including X / Twitter user @Andr3jh on March 14th, who made a Sankey diagram referencing the Aella Birthday Gangbang (seen below) and receiving over 400 likes in five days.[4]

Many appeared to take the advice in the post and viral clip to heart, even though they were not professed Christians. For example, X user @kelswizzle received over 62,000 likes in five days on March 13th (seen below) for saying they would use the video to "rally the girls to go to the bars."[5]
