Veiny Face Yujiro is a reaction image and exploitable meme based on an image of the character Yujiro Hanma from the anime and manga series Baki with veins bursting forward across his body as he stares forward with wide, red eyes. The image is purportedly AI-edited based on a real image from the series.

The edit was first uploaded to TikTok as early as mid-March 2026. It became the subject of further edits on sites including Reddit and X / Twitter over the following months as it became increasingly absurd and unrecognizable. Additionally, the meme saw crossover with other formats, such as the Son memes.

Origin

On March 14th, 2026, TikToker^[1] @kabonaba posted a series of images of Yujiro with veins bursting out across his face. Each image zooms out to show Yujiro's veins eventually making up a galaxy or universe. The post gained over 60,000 views in two months and is the earliest known upload of the image.

The image is purportedly an AI edit of a scene from the manga and anime series where Yujiro is slapped with a "whip strike" by his son.^[2]

Spread

On March 17th, 2026, TikToker^[3] @mmar1zee posted a video consisting of a series of increasingly absurd edits of the Veiny Yujiro image, garnering over 1.8 million views in two months.

On May 28th, X^[4] user @JusJazzinOut posted the original version of the meme, writing, "What do you mean this is a genuine frame and not an edit what could possibly have him like this 😭," garnering over 32,000 likes and 900 reposts in a day. The post inspired numerous edits in the comments.

On May 29th, 2026, X^[5] user @DucHong26804 posted a version of the Son meme using the image, garnering over 1,600 likes in under a day.
