Biggie Was Fat refers to a viral tweet posted by X / Twitter user @joeykillah that began with the phrase "Biggie was fat," and ends with the line, "Accept it, at the end of the day I only care about the music." The post came to be used as a copypasta and as a phrasal template meme due to the dissonance between the crime attributed to Biggie (being fat) and the crimes attributed to Tupac and XXXtentacion (violence against women).

On July 19th, 2019, X^[1] user @joeykillah (now named @jhodi0) made a post that read, "Biggie was fat, Tupac was a r-----, XXX beat women. Accept it, at the end of the day I only care about the music." The post gathered over 9,000 likes in five years (seen below).

Spread

On July 21st, 2019, X^[2] user @jawnyutah quoted the aforementioned post, saying, "Bro he really said biggie was fat like he committed a crime," and gathering over 150,000 likes in five years (shown below).

On June 27th, 2023, the post was used as a caption for an AI-generated poster in the style of a Pixar movie staring Biggie, posted by Redditor^[3] /u/HamstersBoobsPizza to /r/Hiphopcirclejerk, where it gathered over 1,000 likes in a year (seen below).

On January 15th, 2023, X^[5] user @whatsappauntie used the quote to comment on the voice actors for the show Fish Hooks all being embroiled in controversy. The post was "Biggie was fat" as a way to point to how one of the crimes was less severe than the others. The post gathered over 12,000 likes in a year (shown below).

On February 14th, 2024, X^[4] user @BuyMePrimogems quoted the original post, writing, "im crying twomad was all 3," gathering over 50,000 likes in two months (seen below).
