Blokecore, also known as Ladcore, refers to a 2022 fashion trend of wearing football jerseys, jeans and soccer shoes, associated with aesthetics of English, British and Australian "blokes." The slang term was coined in late 2021 on TikTok. It is similar to other -core suffix fashion trends like Normcore.

On December 23rd, 2021, TikToker[1] brandonlhuntley posted a video wherein he claimed, "Hottest trend of 2022: bloke core." In it, he's wearing blue jeans, a football jersey and white, Adidas Sambas. Over the course of five months, the TikTok received roughly 233,800 plays and 30,500 likes (shown below).

On December 28th, 2021, TikToker[2] ludwiglvkas posted a Duet with brandonlhuntley's video, showing his own blokecore outfit. The duet earned roughly 23,100 plays and 1,700 likes in five months (shown below, left). On December 29th, TikToker[3] jonah.pugmire posted a duet with ludwiglvkas' duet, showing his blokecore outfit and gaining roughly 63,500 plays and 5,600 likes in the same amount of time (shown below, right).

On December 29th, 2021, TikToker[4] brandonlhuntley posted another blokecore video of his, in which he's in a Walmart. It earned roughly 8,600 plays and over 570 likes in five months (shown below, left). However, it wasn't until April 2022 that blokecore started to spread more rapidly. This followed a video posted by TikToker[5] brandonlhuntley on April 4th, 2022 that earned roughly 84,600 plays and 10,700 likes in 17 days (shown below, right).

More TikTokers started to dress under the blokecore aesthetic going into the rest of April 2022. On April 20th, 2022, the term was added to Urban Dictionary [6] by user bulian1 who defined it as, "Someone who wears a vintage football jersey with adidas samba shoes to blend in with the football community" (shown below).
