Overview
Bobbi Althoff is a content creator, TikToker and podcaster who hosts The Really Good Podcast on YouTube. Althoff began posting to TikTok in 2021 and gained a significant following over the next few years for her sarcastic comedy videos and skits relating to the topics of pregnancy and motherhood. In June 2023, she started The Really Good Podcast, interviewing notable celebrities in a sarcastic, awkward manner. In just over a month, Alhoff interviewed celebrities including Rick Glassman, Armani White and Drake, inspiring theories and memes that she's an industry plant podcaster. Althoff is also notably signed to the WME entertainment agency. In August 2023, Althoff removed the Drake interview from YouTube and the two unfollowed each other on social media, inspiring reactions and memes.

Bobbi Althoff began posting content to TikTok[1] (@bobbialthoff) on April 16th, 2021. In her first video, Althoff eats a banana with the peel on and then twerks, garnering over 1.6 million views in two years (shown below).

Althoff's videos became increasingly popularized over the following months, each gaining over a million views. On July 25th, 2021, she posted a video to TikTok[2] sarcastically claiming she never smiles, garnering over 12 million views in two years (shown below, left).
In 2022, she then began posting videos about her pregnancy. On February 6th, 2022, she posted a video to TikTok[3] about her pregnancy that gained over 12.1 million views in a year (shown below, right). On July 2nd, she posted her first video to TikTok[4] with her baby, garnering over 3.6 million views in a year. By July 2023, Althoff garnered over 4.8 million followers on the platform.

The Really Good Podcast
On June 1st, 2023, Althoff posted the first episode of her podcast, The Really Good Podcast, to her YouTube[5] channel, garnering over 200,000 views in a month (shown below). The episode features an interview with actor Rick Glassman. Throughout the interview, Althoff acts sarcastic, monotone and makes the interview confrontational and awkward.
On June 23rd, she then posted an episode of the podcast to YouTube[6] with YouTuber Funny Marco, garnering over 1.8 million views in a month. On July 9th, she posted an episode of the podcast to YouTube[7] with Armani White, garnering over 324,000 views in two weeks. On July 20th, Althoff posted a video to YouTube[8] interviewing Drake, garnering over 5.2 million views in four days (deleted, reupload shown below). The podcast was deleted in mid-August and Drake and Althoff unfollowed each other on social media, sparking rumors that they were feuding.[18]
On July 27th, Althoff uploaded an interview with Lil Yachty to YouTube,[15] garnering over 5.1 million views in three weeks (shown below, left). On August 3rd, Althoff's interview with Mark Cuban was uploaded to YouTube,[16] garnering over 2.1 million views in two weeks. On August 10th, Althoff's interview with Tyga was uploaded to YouTube,[17] garnering over 4.1 million views in five days (shown below, right).

As of July 2023, Bobbi Althoff is active on Instagram[9] with over 1.1 million followers, TikTok with over 4.8 million followers and YouTube with over 272,000 subscribers.
Podcast Industry Plant Theories
Althoff's increased online presence in June and July 2023 and the big-time guests on her podcast like Drake inspired theories that Althoff is purportedly an industry plant.
On July 22nd, 2023, Twitter[10] user @RapFavorites posted a clip of an upcoming episode of The Really Good Podcast in which Althoff interviews Lil Yachty, garnering over 43,000 likes in two days. On July 23rd, Twitter[11] user @grey990s quote-retweeted the post, writing, "podcast industry plant," garnering over 80,000 likes in a day (shown below, left).
On the same day, Twitter[12] user @fbgwayno quote-retweeted the post, writing, "where did this woman spawn from," garnering over 136,000 views in a day (shown below, right). On the same day, Twitter[13] user @SaeedDiCaprio posted, "this woman must have the craziest dirt on the entire industry like how do you get drake and yachty for ur first 2 episodes," garnering over 55,000 likes in a day.
On the same day, TikToker[14] @jackmacbarstool posted a video examining the claims that she's an industry plant and providing evidence that she is purportedly not one, garnering over 715,000 views in a day (shown below).

Bobbi Althoff's Response
On August 9th, 2023, Complex[19] published an interview with Althoff where she responds to the industry plant accusations. In the interview, she claims she paid $300 a piece to a source for her first two interviews with Rick Glassman and Funny Marco. After the Funny Marco interview, Drake followed her and she DMd him to request an interview. Drake agreed and Althoff flew out to Memphis to record the episode.
Bobbi Althoff and Drake Unfollow Each Other
On August 13th, 2023, Althoff posted a video to TikTok[20] where she's at a Drake concert with two friends. Her two friends are dancing while she stands in the middle, arms crossed, as if she's having a bad time. The video gained over 21.8 million views in two days (shown below).

On August 14th, X[21] user @Rap posted images of Drake and Althoff, reporting, "Drake and Bobbi Althoff have unfollowed each other on instagram and their interview is deleted from YouTube 🤔‼️" garnering over 67,300 likes in a day (shown below).
On the same day, Althoff posted an Instagram story teasing a "big announcement" about the podcast on Monday, which Marca[22] suggested could be related to the Drake podcast removal. The mutual unfollowing was reported on by numerous media sites, including Complex[23] and Jezebel,[24] some reporting rumors that Drake and Althoff are feuding. Social media users also spread these rumors. For example, on August 14th, X[25] user @Qurandale posted, "Drake tried to sleep with Bobbi Althoff , she declined then drake blocked her on all social media platforms," garnering over 40 likes in a day.
The news became the subject of memes, many perceiving it as unimportant. On August 14th, X[26] user @midsmoker34 posted a meme sarcastically joking about the unimportance of the news, garnering over 8,700 likes in a day.
