Chester Stone, also known as chesterstone745 or Chester Alexander Stone, is a Tampa, Florida-based content creator and Instagram personality, known for his eccentric, low-quality videos in which he repeats his catchphrase "God motherfucking damn!" Chester Stone started on his Instagram account @chesterstone745 in 2020. He went viral for multiple videos, like one about Newport cigarettes and another called There's A Monkey In My Bathroom, among others. Chester Stone started posting on TikTok in 2021, on his account @chesterstone777. In April 2024, a rumor of his death circulated online that was shown to be fake.
Background
Chester Stone was born in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1963. He lived there with his dad, who immigrated to the U.S. from Jamaica, and his mother, who was born and raised in North Carolina. He moved to Tampa Bay, Florida when he was an adult. In his life, he worked a number of jobs, such as being a grocery store clerk in Clearwater, FL, in 2020.[1]
Before internet fame, Chester Stone was a reggaeton MC who went by Super D. A video of him performing as Super D at a block party was posted to YouTube[2] in June 2014 (shown below).
Online History
Chester Stone began posting to Instagram sometime in 2019, per his interview with Tampa Bay Creative Loafing[1] published in June 2020. His original Instagram[3] account was named @chesterstone745 and it's still accessible as of April 2024. However, Stone's earliest posts on the account have been removed with the earliest, still-accessible post on the page having been posted on December 2nd, 2020.[4] It is currently unknown why Stone's earliest posts have been deleted.
Currently, the earliest known repost of a Chester Stone video was posted by Instagram[5] user @big_chungles on January 19th, 2020, in which Stone says, "Women don't fart. They poop," receiving over 15,700 views and 4,200 likes in four years (shown below, left).
On January 20th, 2020, Instagram[6] user @dullstaples also posted a Chester Stone video in which they sped it up and replaced the audio, gaining over 4,100 views and 700 likes in four years (shown below, right).
On January 25th, 2020, YouTuber[7] Rarity Clarity reposted a Stone video called, "Chester Stone Monkey," gaining over 404,000 views in four years (shown below, left).
On March 28th, 2020, YouTuber[8] GOODGUYBRENDEN posted one of the first compilations of Chester Stone's Instagram videos, gaining over 545,700 views in four years (shown below, right).
Around the same time, Chester Stone started a website called chesterston1.com[9] which dates back to February 10th, 2020, via saves on the Internet Archive.
Chester Stone created a Twitter / X account on June 28th, 2020, however, it has since been suspended.[10]
Stone started posting to the TikTok[11] account @chesterstone777 on August 7th, 2021, gaining over 2.4 million plays and 460,000 likes in three years for his first video (shown below, left).
On October 6th, 2021, Stone posted his last TikTok[12] to the account, gaining over 1.1 million plays and 51,700 likes in three years (shown below, right).

Chester Stone started posting on a secondary Instagram[13] account @chesterston1 on January 5th, 2024, earning over 39,400 likes with his first video[14] (shown below).
Fandom
Chester Stone's fandom represented itself early on in animations that used his audio. For instance, an early, viral example was posted by X[15] user @ArtistNcs on February 28th, 2020, gaining over 8,700 likes in four years (shown below).

Jake The Dog Animations
On October 22nd, 2022, X[16] user @Wazzaldorp posted a video that animated Jake the Dog from Adventure Time using audio from a Chester Stone video, gaining over 67,000 likes in two years (shown below).

On January 1st, 2023, YouTuber[17] RayenIDK posted a video called, "Minute of Chester Stones Sounding Exactly Like Jake," which further highlighted Chester Stone's resemblance to Jake the Dog, receiving roughly 781,000 views in a year (shown below).
More iterations of Chester Stone as Jake the Dog were posted by different animators to YouTube[18] going into 2024.
2024 Death Rumor
In April 2024, a rumor spread on TikTok that Chester Stone had passed away. The death hoax was predominantly spread by TikToker[19] @jcubs59 on April 2nd, 2024, whose video received roughly 894,600 plays and 123,200 likes in three days (shown below).

The video used a screenshot of an obituary for "Chester Alexander Stone." However, the obituary was fake, as evidenced by posts shared to Stone's Instagram[20] after the video's upload.

By April 5th, 2024, Stone had amassed over 79,000 followers on his primary Instagram,[3] over 36,400 followers on his secondary Instagram[13] and over 611,600 followers on his TikTok.[21]
