Bonnie Walking Past Camera refers to a viral clip from the 2023 video game Five Nights at Freddy's: In Real Time, a fan-made game based on the 2014 mascot horror Five Nights at Freddy's, in which character Bonnie walks past a security camera while looking at it menacingly. First shared in August 2023, in October 2023 the clip achieved popularity as a meme format, primarily when used in conjunction with the "Me walking out of X with Y up my ass" format.
Origin
On August 18th, video game developer Real Time Studio announced its fan game Five Nights at Freddy's: In Real Time, a remade version of the 2014 mascot horror Five Nights at Freddy's featuring a new story, full animations of animatronics and other features.[1] On that day, the studio posted a short clip of animatronic character Bonnie walking past a securing camera and looking at it menacingly. The video (shown below) received over 270 reposts and 3,900 likes on Twitter / X[2] in three months.

The clip achieved minor traction in memes on the day it was posted: on August 18th, X[3] user @Edrick1954 posted an I know what you are edit that received 30 likes in three months (shown below, left). Also that day, @RealTimeSFNAF posted a GIF caption meme that gained over 50 likes in the same period (shown below, right).[4]
The clip achieved popularity in memes on TikTok in late October 2023, after on October 19th TikTok[5] user @vtkp._ posted a "Me walking out of X with Y up my ass" video caption meme that received over 9.6 million views 1.7 million likes in one month (shown below, left).
The format achieved moderate popularity on TikTok, with several versions going viral in late October and in November 2023. For example, on October 23rd, 2023, TikTok[6] user @el_chip0811 posted a meme that gained over 6.6 million views and 1.6 million likes in one month (shown below, right).
