About

Freddy Fazbear Har Har Har, also known as Freddy Fazbear Ar Ar Ar, Freddy Fazbear Ur Ur Ur or O Cholera Czy To Freddy Fazbear, refers to the audio of a viral video in which a Polish man sees a bear trash can (known as a TidyBear) and calls it Freddy Fazbear (from the game Five Nights at Freddy's) and then makes a sound that sounds like either "har har har," "ar ar ar" or "ur ur ur." The "har har har" sound was in reference to both the "Five Nights at Freddy's 1 Song" by The Living Tombstone and the FNAF Beatbox video. The video's sound gained usage on TikTok and YouTube as the audio for bear-related videos. Also, a doorbell prank in which pranksters played the audio for a Ring doorbell went viral in mid-2023, done to provoke the homeowner's dog because the man's "har har har" sounded like barking.

Origin

On June 18th, 2023, TikToker[1] @.g.r.b posted a video of him and a friend walking up to a TidyBear[2] trash can, saying in Polish, "O, cholera, czy to Freddy Fazbear?" which translates into English, "Oh, shit, is that Freddy Fazbear?" He and his friend then started making a noise that sounded like "har har har" in reference to both the "Five Nights at Freddy's 1 Song" by YouTuber[9] The Living Tombstone and the "FNAF Beatbox" video.[10] They also kicked the trash can at the end of the video. Over the course of two months, the TikTok gained roughly 4.5 million plays and 764,700 (shown below).

Spread

Going into early July 2023, others on TikTok started to use the sound of @.g.r.b's video for their own. For instance, on July 7th, 2023, TikToker[3] @proteamkox_ posted an iteration, gaining roughly 3.7 million plays and 589,900 likes in one month (shown below, left). On July 10th, 2023, TikToker[4] @lubie_tosty_aftona posted a similar video with another TidyBear trash can, gaining roughly 4.3 million plays and 841,700 likes in one month (shown below, right).

The trend extended beyond videos of TidyBears to videos of real-life bears going into late July and early August 2023. For instance, on July 31st, 2023, TikToker[5] @benvover46 posted a video of a black bear with the sound, gaining roughly 12.9 million plays and 2.8 million likes in nine days (shown below, left). The saturation of TidyBear videos under the sound led to memetic awareness, evident in a video posted by TikToker[6] @d3eq.1 on August 1st, that followed the Why You So Quiet? What's On Your Mind? template, gaining roughly 462,700 likes in eight days (shown below, right).

As you can see, they were in ski masks. The fact that our front window was open and my husband was sitting there had no affect. Just wanted to make others aware and yes, we did file a police report.” Canal & Garfield #ScannerOfWarren #CrimeInTheD ♬ original sound – CrimeInTheD
