Brian Cox's Loafers is an exploitable image macro of the Scottish actor from an interview on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show in which his sleek pair of horsebit loafers caught online attention. His shoes quickly became the subject of photoshopped memes and jokes on Twitter / X in mid-November 2023.

On November 8th, 2023, Scottish actor Brian Cox was a guest on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show. In the video[1] (shown below), the actor talks about Amazon’s new Prime Video game show that he will be the presenter, which amassed over 26,000 likes and 477 likes in a week.
Spread
Fans of the actor noticed the actor's outfit style, especially his sleek pair of horsebit loafers. A frame from The Tonight Show interview became the subject of memes and online debate on X. For instance, on November 12th, 2023, QG Magazine[2] wrote an article about Cox's outfit and posted an image of him (shown below) paired with the caption "Brian Cox hit ‘The Tonight Show’ in pitch-perfect loafers." The tweet amassed over 20 million views and 1.800 likes in three days.
On November 13th, 2023, X[3] user @TomZohar posted a photoshopped image of Anne Hathaway with the lower half of her body being Cox's "pitch-perfect loafers." The post (shown below, left) garnered more than 33,000 likes and 1,400 retweets in two days. On the same day, X[4]user @buttcasino used Cox's image paired with the caption "them: you better not be Brian Cox wearing pleather crop pants and loafers when I get there. Me:" The tweet (shown below, right) amassed roughly 52 likes and 7 retweets in two days.
