Fans of the actor noticed the actor's outfit style, especially his sleek pair of horsebit loafers. A frame from The Tonight Show interview became the subject of memes and online debate on X. For instance, on November 12th, 2023, QG Magazine^[2] wrote an article about Cox's outfit and posted an image of him (shown below) paired with the caption "Brian Cox hit ‘The Tonight Show’ in pitch-perfect loafers." The tweet amassed over 20 million views and 1.800 likes in three days.

On November 13th, 2023, X^[3] user @TomZohar posted a photoshopped image of Anne Hathaway with the lower half of her body being Cox's "pitch-perfect loafers."
