About

Bruh Look Who At X is a phrasal template and image macro series where a memeable character is shown in a store or restaurant, often a 7-Eleven or Walmart, with a Snapchat banner reading, "bruh look who at X," X being the designated location. The format began around January 2019 in relation to K-pop stars and spread over the following years as an ironic meme format.

Origin

In early 2019, a meme spread around online K-pop communities where K-Pop members were photoshopped into various locations with a Snapchat banner reading, "Bruh look who at X," X being the location. It is unclear who started the trend when, but one of the earliest available memes was posted to WeHeartIt[1] on January 9th, 2019, garnering over 1,300 hearts in four years (shown below). A collection of the memes has since been created on Pinterest[2] by mel⁷ and π“ˆπ“Žπ’Ή.
