On September 28th, 2019, Redditor cm_od posted their artwork in r/Art^[1] with the caption "'We Meet Again…', Me, Digital, 2019" (shown below). The post gained over 6,100 points (97% upvoted) in six months.

Spread

On September 29th, 2019, Redditor Cupcakeformemes posted a labeled version of the image to r/MemeTemplatesOfficial^[2] which received over 180 points (100% upvoted) in six months (shown below, left). In March 2020, the image made a comeback in various subreddits. On March 10th, 2020, Redditor TheMLGRogue76 uploaded a variation with Shrek labeled "The kid who found the homework answer sheet online" and Carl labeled "the rest of the class" (shown below, right). The post garnered over 8,300 points (99% upvoted) in two days.
