Are You Going To Finish That Croissant?, also referred as "Cwosant," is a line from mispronunciation of the word croissant said by Carl Wheezer from The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius on Nickelodeon.^[1] It is commonly used in YouTube Poop remix videos.

Origin

The original phrase "Are you going to finish that croissant?" was used by Carl Wheezer in Season 3, Episode 1 of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, "Lights! Camera! Danger!," in response to series' villain Professor Calamitous, impersonating film director Quentin Smithee.

Spread

The first "Croissant Dreams" video was made on YouTube on March 11th, 2012 by user pivotman111, gaining over 19,000 views (shown below, left).^[2] On March 13th, "The Adventures of Carl Wheezer" was uploaded by thatdarnaccount parodying the Everyone Else Loves Flanders from The Simpsons. It has gained over 345,000 views up to date (shown below, right).^[3]

On July 15th, 2012, a "Cwasont" site was created on YTMND website by DragonWarriorXtreme.^[4] Lots of artwork and videos can be found on #are you going to finish that croissant and #carl wheezer tags on Tumblr ^[5][6] or on /r/CarlWheezer on Reddit. ^[7] In September 2014, Are you going to finish that croissant? blogger joined on Blogspot.^[8] On October 30th, Are you going to finish that croissant? video was linked on Reddit's /r/DeepIntoYouTube subreddit and received 427 votes (95% upvotes).^[9]

Years later, the scene continues to be a ripe source of parody YouTube Poop videos. On September 25th, 2016, SwimmingTrunks uploaded a parody video with the scene crossed with a scene from Blue's Clues, gaining over 463,000 views (shown below left). On February 7th, 2017, Cyranek uploaded a Soundclown edit of the scene, gaining over 325,000 views (shown below, right).
