Congratulations, Kai, You're Number One, also known as Kai, You Made It, refers to an audio of streamer Kai Cenat's mom calling him on stream to congratulate him on becoming the number two most subscribed Twitch streamer in late 2022. The clip became a viral TikTok sound for motivational content in the following years. The clip resurfaced in memes in early August 2025, when multiple creators parodied the phone call.

Origin

On September 24th, 2022, Kai Cenat surpassed streamer xQc on the most-subbed Twitch streamer list, clocking in at the second most subscribers.^[1] Cenat's mom called him on stream and said, "Congratulations, Kai! You're number one!" The clip was posted to Twitch^[2] by user paragrips on that day, gaining over 104,000 views in three years (shown below).

Spread

Sometime in late 2022, a since-deleted TikToker named @user90250016690 created a viral TikTok sound^[3] with the audio, combining it with an emotional song. The audio received over 33,200 uses in three years.

For instance, on October 29th, TikToker^[4] @vanshh.m used the audio, showing Cenat getting the phone call with a caption reading, "Just wanna make my momma proud like this," receiving over 82,800 likes in three years (shown below).

On February 21st, 2024, TikToker^[5] @primetimesiafa posted a video with the audio, adding text overlay that read, "When bro says 'let's go audio for audio' and I pull out 'Congratulations Kai,'" roughly following the "When You Going Band for Band With X and They Pull Out Y" snowclone. In a year, the video received over 446,200 likes (shown below).

On July 23rd, 2025, TikToker^[7] @im2hyperr posted a parody of the original video, in which the voice playing his mom had a suggestive inflection and tone. Over 16 days, the video gained over 634,400 likes (shown below).

On July 26th, TikToker^[6] @sagecs1 posted his own parody, in which the voice playing his mom calls him the n-word and tells him that he made it. Over 13 days, the video received roughly 597,100 likes (shown below).

On August 7th, 2025, TikToker^[8] @ebenvevoclips posted an iteration about his dad calling him after he submitted a job application, gaining over 23,500 likes in a day (shown below).
