Dog With Apple Minimax Hailuo AI Videos, also known as Apple Dog AI Videos or Dog with Apple AI Videos, refers to a series of AI-generated videos of a dog with an apple in its mouth, using the AI generator Minimax by Hailuo AI. The dog meme is also known as This Dock Is Holding an April🍎 in Its Melt. The Apple Dog AI videos went viral on TikTok in late 2024.

Origin

On November 30th, 2024, TikToker^[1] @artsdd6 posted a video that used the AI generator Minimax by Hailuo AI, showing a dog with an apple in its mouth being interrupted by a man and then running through a forest. The base image also replaced the apples with the Wapple. Over five days, the video received roughly 2.8 million plays and 393,900 likes (shown below).

Spread

In the following days, others added to the trend, using the same TikTok sound^[2] as the abovementioned video. For instance, on December 2nd, 2024, TikToker^[3] @sigmaboy1255552 posted a video of the dog dropping the apple and it exploding into many apples, gaining over 1.1 million plays and 239,800 likes in three days (shown below).

Also on December 2nd, TikToker^[4] @kirqau posted a video of the dog flying up and away, being carried by a group of butterflies. The video used a different TikTok sound known for its usage in Alien Cult videos. Over three days, the TikTok received roughly 564,500 plays and 144,300 likes (shown below).

Increasingly absurd iterations surfaced going into December 2024. For instance, on December 3d, TikToker^[5] @waltuhputurdaway posted an iteration in which a Minion attacks the dog, receiving over 1.6 million plays and 191,400 likes in two days (shown below).
