Donald Trump's ISIS Map is a photoshop meme based on a photo of Donald Trump holding up a map outside the White House to illustrate that ISIS would be defeated within the day.
Origin
On March 20th, Steve Herman[1] of the Washington Post tweeted an image of Trump holding up the map. (shown below, left). The tweet gained 21 retweets and 78 likes in a day. Twitter user Aaron Blake[2] posted a screenshot of the Fox News coverage Trump showing the map with the caption, "Trump has maps showing where ISIS controlled on Election Night 2016 versus today. Says the last red dot on 2nd map will be gone today" (shown below, right).
Spread
On March 20th, 2019, @nycsouthpaw[3] retweeted Steve Herman's picture and said "start your adobe engines" (shown below, left). The tweet gained 110 retweets and 700 likes in a day. Twitter user @ParkerMolloy[4] tweeted a photoshopped image that substituted a picture of a kids drawing in for the map. The tweet accumulated 70 retweets and 646 likes in a day (shown below, right).
That same day, Twitter user @thesaurusrext[5] posted a blank template for edits (shown below, left). Twitter user @rdwrt[6] replied with a Look at this photograph edit (shown below, right).
