About

"Eddy Shoop" or simply Eddy Reaction Image (No official name at the moment) is a reaction image meme consisting of Eddy, the main character from Ed Ed and Eddy. The meme at first was posted on October 18th, 2010 in a reaction thread posted on /co/ named "Why does Ed Ed and Eddy make such good reaction images?". The thread involved a cropped, screen caped picture of Eddy raising his hands in displeasure, similar to the "Y U NO" guy.

The thread lasted only a few replies before being 404ed but the picture remained in circulation as a reaction image on /co/ before going to /mu/ and later /v/ where templates were made.

On 11/24/10 /v/ archived a thread of this meme: http://4chanarchive.org/

Use

The meme is mainly used to question someone's post or the whole thread in general. Almost as if saying "Why would you post that" or simply "Why?".
