Elder Millennial Roller Derby Video, also known simply as Elder Millennial Video, refers to a viral video of female roller derby players saying their ages, in which one woman says that she's an "Elder Millennial" to avoid stating her age. The slang term "elder millennial" refers to older members of the millennial (or Gen Y) generation, typically born in the early to mid-1980s. The video was seen as cringe by many on TikTok, spreading in memes in April 2025. The original video was posted by the TikTok account @assassinationcityderby in mid-April 2025.

Origin

Sometime in February 2025, the TikTok^[1] account of Assassination City Derby (@assassinationcityderby) posted a video of the team's roller derby players saying their ages in order from youngest to oldest. One woman, towards the end of the video, said, "Elder Millennial," when she was asked. The video has since been deleted.

The earliest known repost was shared by TikToker^[2] @cakeinme1 on February 28th, in a "Ranking Millennial Cringe" compilation, gaining over 322,900 likes in two months (shown below).

On April 15th, 2025, TikToker^[3] @brandon_wtp1 reposted the original video, adding a text caption with SYBAU and the Dead Rose Emoji, gaining over 40,400 likes in six days (shown below).

On April 16th, TikToker^[4] @100percent_accuracy posted an Accuracy Reenactment of the Elder Millennial video, gaining over 552,100 likes in five days (shown below).

On April 19th, 2025, Twitch streamer Jynxzi posted a TikTok^[5] video making fun of the Elder Millennial video, gaining over 987,300 likes in two days (shown below).
