Overview
The Central Park Pool Brawl, also known as the Central Park Pool Fight, refers to a purported fight that occurred at the public Gottesman Pool at the Davis Center in New York City's Central Park near Harlem in mid-2025. Many internet users on TikTok, Instagram and Twitter / X claimed that a brawl took place between numerous NYC residents at the Central Park Pool shortly after its opening day. A Central Park Pool Brawl video was not shared online, but the footage of the aftermath of the rumored brawl spread online in the following days. Many internet users reacted to the claim on social media in viral videos and posts.
Background
On June 27th, 2025, the new Gottesman Pool in New York City's Central Park near Harlem was officially opened to the public.[1] On June 30th, claims of a fight that occurred at the pool started surfacing online. The first person to discuss the purported fight online was TikToker[2] @tymachantee on that day, gaining over 71,300 likes in three days (shown below).

TikToker[3] @brooklyn_moni also posted a video on June 30th, claiming that three fights broke out at the Central Park Pool, involving a resident and a lifeguard, two women in the ladies' locker room and two residents in the mess hall. Her video received over 2,300 likes in three days (shown below).

On July 1st, 2025, TikToker[4] @bhynahh posted a video with a POV caption, claiming that her friend, seen being escorted by Central Park police, started the Central Park Pool Brawl, receiving over 8,900 likes in two days (shown below).
