DashCon 2 is an annual Tumblr convention in Ontario, Canada.^[1] Unlike the original DashCon which was widely considered a spectacular failure, DashCon 2 was well-received during its inagural edition.

2025 edition

The first edition of DashCon 2 was held on 5 July 2025 in Toronto, Canada, at a venue called the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre.^[2] The one-day event attrached somewhere between 800-1000 visitors. The convention featured many references to the original DashCon, such as a ball pit, a bouncing castle, and a donation goal of $17,000 (albeit for charity).

The organizers held an opening presentation at DashCon 2, where they introduce themselves and explain the goal and process of the convention:

Attendees

Nessie

One of the attendees was Nessie, the founder of the original DashCon.^[6] She cosplayed as the DashCon ballpit^[4] and held a panel about rabies.^[5]

Strange Æons

Another celebrity attendee was Strange Æons, a YouTuber focused on Tumblr culture. She and the Muppet Joker duelled in a bouncing pit.

Xiran Jay Zhao

Another celebrity attendee was Xiran Jay Zhao, YouTuber and professional author. She cosplayed Maximilien Robespierre and took part in a scripted stage invasion against Nessie (below, right).

2026 edition

The second edition of DashCon 2 is scheduled to take place from 1 to 2 August 2026, at the same venue and location as the previous year.^[3]
