Overview
JiDion Unbanned on Twitch refers to the revoke of a permabanned of streamer JiDion on Twitch in May 2024, two years after he was banned from the platform for leading a “hate raid” against fellow streamer Pokimane. JiDion's return to Twitch became a viral topic on Twitter (X), sparking a debate about the platform's severity and inconsistency of their bans.
Background
On January 12th, 2022, American YouTuber and online streamer JiDion asked his viewers on a livestream to bombard fellow streamer Pokimane’s chat with spam comments. The incident caused JiDion a 14 days ban, which later evolved to a permaban from the platform, as the streamer explained in a tweet[1] on January 16th, 2022. The post (shown below) amassed more than 22,000 likes and 2,600 reposts in two years.
According to Game Rant[2], Pokimane and JiDion have since cleared things up between each other.
Developments
On May 6th, 2024, JiDion's Twitch account was unbanned after two years, as the X[3] account @Dexerto revealed (shown below, left), amassing more than 22,000 likes and 577 reposts in two days. The streamer[4] posted the I Got One More In Me meme to celebrate the news (shown below, right), which received roughly 1,200 likes and 30 reposts in two days.
