Overview

Streamer University, also known as Streaming University, is an upcoming streaming event set up by Twitch streamer Kai Cenat that offers streamers both big and small who sign up an all-inclusive chance to live at a college campus for a weekend and film content together, the idea being to boost their exposure. Kai first teased the idea in February 2025 during a livestream and gave several updates over the following months, at one point clearing up that Streamer University is not meant to teach people how to be streamers. On May 6th, he dropped a trailer for the university and opened a website where both prospective students and teachers can sign up for a chance to attend the university. According to Kai, over a million applicants signed up in the first 10 minutes, with roughly 7 million signing up within an hour of its launch, crashing the site. As of May 7th, 2025, no date has been set for the event.

Background

A longer version of the clip was posted by Instagram[2] user djakademikstv on February 14th, garnering over 3,000 likes in three months. Kai's plan was reported on by Fast Company[3] on February 18th.

Developments

On February 21st, 2025, TikToker[4] @streamerclipperrr posted a clip from another of Kai's streams in which he further talks about Streamer University. In the clip, Kai reiterates that it's free for those who sign up. He says people won't be going to the university to "learn how to be a streamer," saying the plan is to give exposure to small and large content creators by giving them the university setting to create content in.
