About
The Perez Hilton Self-Harm TikTok Live Stream, also known as Perez Hilton Cutting Himself Video, was a TikTok LIVE stream hosted by celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton on August 4th, 2026, during which he appeared to be in a mental health crisis, naked, covered in blood and running a knife along his body in what was reported to be an act of self-harm. At points throughout the livestream, he wonders why TikTok hasn't banned him, says he's doing this "for his kids," and says, "Shoot me," while looking out the window and seeing the police pull up to his home.
Recordings of Hilton's stream went viral on social media shortly after the incident took place, along with footage of him being taken away in an ambulance. The incident inspired widespread reactions online, including warnings not to watch the video or to avoid watching it if possible, as well as memes about the graphic moment. Reportedly, Hilton was banned from TikTok some time after the stream.
Background
On August 4th, 2026, Perez Hilton went live on TikTok. During the livestream, Hilton was naked and covered in his own blood. He performed acts of self-harm on himself with a knife, stabbing himself in the gut and dragging it along his skin, cutting himself. Hilton appeared to be going through a mental health crisis. In clips from the stream, he can be heard wondering why TikTok hasn't banned him yet.
At one point, he runs the knife along his body, moans, then says, "I did this for my children." He then looks out the window of his home, sees the cops, and says, "Shoot me, motherfuckers. The police are here." At another point in the stream, he invites three other people to join the call. They ask him what he's doing, and he says, "I'm committing suicide."
Later on, the police intervened at Hilton's home and took him away in an ambulance for medical attention.[1] Clips from Hilton's livestream were posted across X / Twitter and other platforms in early August 2026 as the incident went viral and garnered media coverage.[6]

Update From Hilton Family
On August 6th, 2026, an update from Hilton's family was posted on Perez Hilton's blog.[8] The update reads:
Our family cannot express enough our continued gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received during this incredibly difficult time.
The events of the past several days have been nearly unbearable for our family.
Just minutes before the public livestream incident, Perez’s children, niece, and sister were inside the home. When it became clear that Perez was experiencing a severe mental health crisis and harming himself, they immediately fled to protect the children from witnessing any further trauma.
Our highest priority right now is helping the children begin to heal from what they experienced. An important part of that process is allowing them to safely return home and begin rebuilding a sense of security and normalcy.
For the children’s safety, privacy, and well-being, we respectfully ask members of the media, paparazzi, content creators, and the public to leave the area surrounding the family’s home and not return. Please allow his children the privacy and space they need during this unimaginably difficult time.
We will continue to provide updates on Perez’s condition through PerezHilton.com when we have additional information we are able to share.
Again, thank you for your compassion, understanding, and continued prayers.
