Hamster Rave or The_hamster_rave is a TikTok content creator known for his TikTok LIVE streams in which his pet hamster runs in spinning wheels while electronic music (EDM) is playing in the background. The livestreams started in May 2023 and became increasingly popularized throughout November of the same year.

History

The_hamster_rave's earliest post on TikTok^[1] was uploaded on March 17th, 2023, in which he showed their hamster babies (shown below, left). The post amassed over 120,000 plays and 4,900 likes in nine months.

The creator hosted his first TikTok LIVE stream on March 22nd, 2023, in which he later shared a video^[2] (shown below, right) of the stream featuring the hamster running in the spinning wheels while EDM played in the background, amassing more than 267,000 plays and 13,000 likes in seven months.

Online Presence

Online, the creator has amassed a notable fanbase on TikTok, who often shared clips or comments about the livestreams featuring the pets.

For example, on November 28th, 2023, TikTok^[3] user posted a video (shown below, left) talking about the hamster raves TikTok Lives being her "favourite livestream" on the platform. The post amassed roughly 824,000 plays and 178,000 likes in two days.

On August 18th, 2023, TikTok^[4] user @dgwalgrave added the Bill Hader Dancing to Anything meme overlayed on top of a hamster rave stream (shown below, right). The video garnered more than 9,400 plays and 244 likes in four months.
