On the night of May 5th, 2025, a clip from Wifiskeleton's Instagram Live stream was posted to the /r/jaydes^[5] subreddit. In the clip, Wifiskeleton says he's planning on overdosing that night, then says that he's joking. The clip was reuploaded by TikToker^[6] @easywayorrandyway that night with an additional caption mourning his death.

"If you wanna pull up and kill me, now's the time to do it. If you wanna get a flick with me it's the time to do it, I'mma overdose tonight and kill myself. I'm just joking, I'm not gonna actually do that."

That same night, a screenshot from the gothangelz Discord server began to spread online, including through an X^[7] post by @YoJellyBill1. The Discord message claims that Wifiskeleton was found dead, his body "cold," by police in the early morning hours.

For instance, on May 5th, 2025, TikToker^[8] @privden2 posted a video mourning his death and wondering how nobody saw "the signs," pointing to the lyrics of his song "Nope Your Too Late I Already Died" and calling it a cry for help, garnering over 1.9 million views in a day.

Some people shared memes and posts celebrating his death over past allegations of him being a groomer, although some believe the accusations have been debunked.^[9][10]
