Evil Blunt is a catchphrase used in memes alongside a phrasal template that uses a variation of the phrase "hitting the evil blunt." Memes using the phrase "evil blunt" are most prevalent on Instagram and can be traced back to mid-2022. The concept and term are often used in conjunction with a reaction image or an edit showing someone looking shaken or disturbed.

The earliest known meme about hitting an "evil blunt" was posted by the Instagram[1] page @limpbizkitfan3000 on June 25th, 2022. The post gathered over 4,000 likes in nine months (seen below).

On July 4th, 2022, the Instagram[2] page the.shitpost.archive posted a meme using the phrase "evil blunt," gathering over 1,400 likes in eight months (seen below, left). On July 27th, the Instagram[3] page jinsangmemes posted a version of the meme using the term, gathering over 1,500 likes in eight months (seen below, right).
