Get Up Cocksuckers, It's All Over, also known as Joey Diaz National Anthem Speech or Joey Diaz 4th of July Motivation, is a viral video from an October 2017 episode of comedian Joey Diaz's podcast The Church of What's Happening Now where Diaz makes an impassioned speech over the American national anthem about taking pride in being American. The clip gained viral spread over the following years and became a popular original sound on TikTok in July 2022.

Origin

On October 6th, 2017, episode 522 of The Church of What's Happening Now. a podcast hosted by comedian Joey Diaz, was published on YouTube.[1] At the end of the episode, Diaz makes a motivational speech over the American national anthem. During the speech, he talks about several hard times that Americans and the world, in general, were going through at the time, including hurricanes and rising tensions with North Korea and reminds listeners that they're the "baddest motherfuckers out there." He says it's time to "shoot back" and to "stop with the gun control," finishing his speech by telling people to stay off Snapchat and Twitter and "stay Black." The episode gained over 145,000 views in five years (shown below).

TikTok Sound

On June 7th, 2022, TikToker[4] @civilfallout posted a version of the clip with a caption about Fallout 76 becoming playable, gaining over 70,000 views in a month. The original sound inspired over 870 videos by July. The majority are selfie videos with long strings of text about waking up confused after a long, sometimes unexpected nap (examples shown below).
