About
Getti Spaghetti refers to a viral food recipe video. The recipe consists of wrapping ground beef around a handful of dry spaghetti and cooking the meat on a frying pan. After cooking the meat, place the meat and spaghetti in a casserole dish, spice it and place several Nerds candies on the beef, then sauce the plate. Finally, cook the whole dish in the oven. Many online mocked the recipe for its unconventional technique and flavor combinations, causing the video to go viral on TikTok.
Origin
On February 13th, 2021, TikToker @gettishow uploaded a recipe video in which she cooks a dish called "Getti Spaghetti." In the video, she wraps dry pasta in raw ground beef and cooks it on a frying pan. Once cooked, Getti spices and sauces the dish before placing Nerds in the meat. Finally, she puts the plate into the oven to cook for 20 minutes. The post received more than 6.1 million views, 632,000 reactions and 43,000 comments in less than one month (shown below).

Spread
Following the post, people began performing duets with the clip, mocking the recipe and expressing confusion over the ingredients. On February 15th, 2021, TikToker @tyshonlawrence posted a duet with the video that received more than 1.2 million views, 346,000 reactions and 1,000 comments in less than one month (shown below, left).
The following week, on February 22nd, Gordon Ramsay published a duet. The post received more than 18 million views, 1.8 million reactions and 25,000 comments in less than one month (shown below, right).

That day, @gettishow published a response to Ramsay's duet. In the video, she says that she isn't upset with Ramsay's review and appears happy to have had her recipe featured. The post received more than 111,000 views, 4,300 reactions and 300 comments in less than one month (shown below).
