Gibby Falls From Ceiling refers to a series of video edits and remixes of a scene from the American television comedy series iCarly that shows Gibby falling of a ceiling falling face-first.
Origin
On September 25th, 2010, iCarly episode "iGet Pranky" aired on Nickelodeon.[1] In the episode, Freddie Benson, Sam Puckett and Carly Shay are working to get out of an electrical room. Freddie realizes they forgot Gibby, so Carly calls Gibby to leave the room. Suddenly, Gibby shouts his name and falls face-first onto the floor. The video was reuploaded to YouTube[2] on August 20th, 2012, the video gained 949,097 views in 9 years (shown below).
Spread
One of the earliest remixes of the clip was an ear rape version posted August 3rd, 2016 by YouTuber Alex Imber, gaining over 253,000 views (shown below, left). On July 19th, 2017, YouTuber kmlkmljkl posted an example that gained over 560,000 views (shown below, right).
To date, the most popular variations of the meme are remix compilations: one posted by TwinkieMan on August 22nd, 2017, gaining over 630,000 views (shown below, left) and another posted by TrendingVids on January 17th, 2019, gaining over 600,000 views (shown below, right).
