Grinch's Ultimatum is an exploitable animation by YouTube artist PilotRedSun. The animation inspired several redraws using different characters on YouTube.

Origin

The first animation was posted to YouTube by PilotRedSun on December 25th, 2016. In the animation (shown below) a man destroys his television set, then Santa Claus comes down the chimney to give the man a choice: become a Grinch, or become a saint. The man chooses to become a Grinch, and writes "Have I truly become a monster?" in a journal before going to dance in a park. The video received over 2.8 million views in over six years.

Spread

The earliest known parody of the video was posted to YouTube by Hiro on November 10th, 2020. The parody (shown below) replaced the characters with Roblox character models and received over 11,900 views in over two years.

The earliest known redraw of the original video was posted to YouTube by AlkaroSmb on November 27th, 2020. The video (shown below, left) uses characters from Noita, and received over 191,000 views in over two years. On May 15th, 2021, YouTube user Sh22xpr posted a redraw video which uses Team Fortress 2's Engineer and Gabe Newell. The video (shown below, right) received over 237,000 views in over one year.

The majority of the redraws didn't appear until nearly five years after the original was posted. On August 15th, 2021, YouTube animator Iwakan posted a redraw of the animation using Chris-Chan and Sonichu. The video (shown below, left) received over 417,000 views in over one year. On October 30th, 2021, YouTube animator glag0l posted a redraw of the animation using Jerma985 and B. F. Bugleberry. The video (shown below, right) received over 231,000 views in over one year.

On September 23rd, 2021, YouTube animator Bzehburger posted a redraw of the animation using Deltarune characters Noelle and Spamton based on events from the game's Snowgrave Route. The video (shown below, left) received over 204,000 views in over one year. On January 3rd, 2022, YouTube animator Sir Kirby posted a redraw of the animation using Seymour Skinner and Superintendent Chalmers from the Steamed Hams scene of The Simpsons. The video (shown below, right) received over 132,000 views in nearly one year.
