Ethno-nationalism is stupid in most countries, but I find it especially baffling when people try to apply it in the U.S. It's one of the most ethnically and racially diverse countries in the world, and has been so effectively since its inception. The presence and contributions of racial/ethnic minorities to the broader culture is a defining feature of America, not a threat to it. The only thing really threatening America are the people who are trying to destroy this fundamental aspect of its history and culture in a vain attempt to recreate a version of the country that never existed in the first place.
