About

Guy Pointing To Himself In The Mirror, also known as White Man Pointing At Himself In Mirror, is a WikiHow image macro of a man looking stern while pointing to himself in the mirror. The image originated from a WikiHow article titled "How To Resist Sexual Temptation," although the image has since been removed and the article has been renamed to "How To Control Sexual Urges." The image macro is used as a meme that signifies reassuring or hyping oneself up.

Origin

On September 27, 2010, WikiHow published an article titled "How To Resist Sexual Temptation," under the categories "Christianity" and "Love and Romance."[1] The article offered various methods to help curtail illicit sexual urges, including "Avoid dark corners with anyone you are attracted to," and "Don't console yourself that just one try won't cost you anything." The article was later updated, redirecting to "How To Control Sexual Urges" instead.[8]

Here's the original version of the meme image directly from the source. It's in full resolution — 3200 × 2400 pixels — and not AI upscaled at all. Note: The wikiHow logo on the bottom right is the modern 2025 version.
