All the Pages Are Blank is an exploitable image macro series featuring a WikiHow illustration of a man reading a book followed by the caption "All the Pages Are Blank WTF," which are typically altered with various book titles.
Origin
On August 14th, 2012, a WikiHow page titled "How to Make a Presentation Fun" was created, which features an illustration of a man reading a book titled "Ethics in Business" under the heading "Creating an Effective Presentation" (shown below, left). On July 24th, 2017, the WikiHow Image Macros Facebook[2] page posted a variation of the image with the book titled "Ethics in Business" (shown below, right). Within two months, the post gathered upwards of 7,400 reactions and 3,100 shares
Spread
The following day, the image was reposted to /r/LateStageCapitalism.[3] On September 16th, 2017, the Red Dublin Facebook[7] page shared an edited version of the illustration with the book titled "How Capitalism Helps the Worker" (shown below).
On September 19th, Redditor Kap06 submitted a post about the meme to /r/MemeEconomy,[4] where it received upwards of 2,700 votes (86% upvoted) and 160 comments within 24 hours. On September 20th, Redditor GrandMasterBen submitted a photoshopped version featuring Pepe the Frog to /r/dankmemes[5] (shown below, left). Meanwhile, Redditor COOLFRY submitted a variation with the book titled "How to Rotate Text in Paint" to /r/dankmemes[6] (shown below, right).
