Hatsune Miku Admires a Snail, also known as Hatsune Miku Admires a Pipe Bomb and Woah, Pipe Bomb, refers to a series of memes based on a fan art of Hatsune Miku looking at a snail and commenting, "snale, woaaaaaaaaaaa, so cool…" Originally posted in 2021, the image was used as an exploitable on Tumblr, with a version with a pipe bomb edited in instead of the snail later inspiring humorous fan animations.
Origin
On April 2nd, 2021, Twitter[1] user @_koukonut posted a fan art of Hatsune Miku looking at a snail and commenting, "snale. woaaaaaaaaaaa. so cool..,.," (original post no longer available, image shown below). On the same day, Facebook[2] user Hernán Nambo reposted the image, with the post gaining over 1,100 reactions and 2,200 shares in two years.

On May 5th, 2021, iFunny[3] user Seinen posted a cropped version of the fan art that received over 1,400 smiles in two years. On October 20th, iFunny[4] user Anticksss then posted the earliest found edit of the image, captioning it, "no get away, get away from him." The post (shown below, left) gained over 18,200 smiles in two years. On October 23rd, 2021, Tumblr[5] user nokie reposted the original fan art, with the post garnering over 10,000 likes and reblogs in two years.
Prior to January 27th, 2022, Twitter user @kittyvomiit posted an edited version of the image, replacing the snail with a pipe bomb (tweet no longer available; shown below, right). On January 27th, Twitter[6] user @PossumBoy5 reposted the image, with the tweet gaining over 2,500 retweets and 15,800 likes prior to removal.
On January 29th, 2022, voice actor Voice Quills posted the earliest found voiced version of the meme. The video (shown below) garnered over 87,000 views on YouTube[7] and 2,800 views on Twitter[8] in one year (shown below, left).
On September 23rd, 2022, YouTuber[9] FishingHobo uploaded a VOCALOID-voiced version that gained over 1.1 million views in seven months (shown below, right).

The latter video went viral in late March 2023, inspiring fan animations on YouTube and TikTok. For example, on March 24th, 2023, animator ThatOneGuy'sAnimations posted a version that received over 793,000 views on YouTube[10] and over 673,000 views on TikTok[11] in one month (shown below, left). On March 25th, animator BonBon then posted another version that accumulated over 250,000 views on YouTube[12] in the same period (shown below, right).
