Hollywood, Meet Your New A-List refers to a viral social media post by the American magazine The Hollywood Reporter, which featured a photograph of 22 content creators and influencers with the caption, "Hollywood, meet your new A-List." As many people struggled to recognize most of the influencers in the photograph, the post became a subject of jokes and parodies online in early October 2024.

Origin

On October 10th, 2024, the X^[1] social media account for The Hollywood Reporter posted a photograph of 22 TikTokers, influencers and content creators, including comedy duo Rhett and Link and influencer Brittany "Kombucha Girl" Broski, with the caption, "Hollywood, meet your new A-list" and a link to the profile article "The Creator A-List: The 50 Most Influential Influencers."

The post (shown below) garnered over 32 million views, 22,000 reposts and quote posts, and 3,800 likes in one day.

In the following hours, the post saw viral spread on X / Twitter as many users apparently struggled to identify the majority of influencers in the photograph.

On October 10th, 2024, X^[2] user @adorasroses quoted the post, commenting, "Maybe I'm not chronically online." The post (shown below) received over 9,300 reposts and 193,000 likes in one day.

Later on October 10th, 2024, X^[3] user @Solfleet quoted the post, commenting, "Hey look, Rhett and Link and 20 people I've never seen in my entire life." The post (shown below) garnered over 2,000 reposts and 59,000 likes in one day.

Additionally, the post inspired parodies in which people replaced the photograph with images of groups of people and characters.

For example, on October 10th, 2024, X^[4] user @JeffYorkes posted the caption together with an image of The Muppets (shown below). The post garnered over 90 reposts and 580 likes in one day.
