About

Huh. I Wonder Who That's For refers to an image of Garfield looking at a sign forbidding him from entering a store, captioned, "Huh. I wonder who that's for," a phrase that is not actually used in the source episode. The image comes from a 1988 episode of Garfield and Friends and was first used as an image macro in 2019, becoming the subject of further memes and redraws over the following years.

Origin

On November 12th, 1988, season one episode nine of Garfield and Friends aired on television. In the third segment, around the 19:50 mark, Odie asks Garfield what several signs mean on a store window, including a "no smoking" sign, "no ice cream" sign and, finally, a "no Garfield" sign. Garfield originally says about the third sign, "this one means… hmm" (shown below).[1]
