About

Husky Pointing, also known as Dog Pointing, is a reaction image meme of a black-and-white husky dog with a white human hand pointing forward, as if the husky is pointing toward the viewer. The meme first started appearing online as early as 2021 and continued to spread over the following years, becoming a prevalent reaction image on sites like Reddit and TikTok, usually as a way of judging someone for something they posted. In 2025, the meme saw significant spread on TikTok as a photo comment, particularly in response to Online City videos and memes.

Origin

The exact origins of the Husky Pointing meme are unclear. The earliest known version of the meme was posted to the Japanese site Penana[1] on June 28th, 2021, with the title, "Be careful when walking!" garnering around 1,200 views in four years. It is unconfirmed if this is the true origin of the format.
