"If It Ain't the Invisible Cunt" is a quote said by The Boys character Billy Butcher upon starting a fight against invisible superhero Translucent. Online, a still image of Butcher paired with the quote has been used a reaction, particularly towards invisible antagonists in various video games.

Origin

On July 26th, 2019, episode one "The Name of the Game" of superhero television series The Boys premiered.[1] In one scene of the episode, character Billy Butcher, portrayed by Karl Urban, initiates a fight against the invisible superhero Translucent, calling him the "Invisible Cunt."

On August 3rd, 2019, Facebook user Govardhan Posina posted the first known meme paired with the quote to The Boys Sevenposting group, with the post gaining over 290 likes in three weeks (shown below, left).[7] In the following days, more notable memes based on the still were posted in the group (shown below, center and right).[8][9]

In the following days, more jokes referring to various invisible video game characters were posted in /r/tf2memes[3] and /r/shittyrainbow6[4] subreddits (shown below, center and right) and on iFunny.[5]
