Indian Sidemen, also called Indian Tinder In Real Life, refers to Indian versions of the Twitch and YouTube dating show created by British content group the Sidemen, which includes creators like KSI. YouTuber Fukra Insaan and Instagram creator @cassiusclydepereira have been posting videos replicating the Sidemen's dating show format on Instagram since 2022 and on YouTube since 2023. Several internet users reposted and reacted to the videos on TikTok in June 2023, causing them to increase in virality shortly after.

Origin

British content creation group Sidemen created the video series "Tinder In Real Life" in which male members of the group attempt to woo women with pickup lines in 2019. The show garnered significant attention on YouTube in subsequent years, with the original Tinder In Real Life video,^[1] posted on June 9th, 2019, gathering over 44 million views in four years (seen below, left). The most viewed Tinder In Real Life video^[2] was posted on February 7th, 2021, and has gathered over 77 million views in two years (seen below, right).

Instagram^[3] creator @cassiusclydepereira posted his version of Tinder IRL on April 24th, 2022, gathering over 97,000 likes in a year (seen below).

On April 9th, 2023, YouTuber^[4] @Fukra Insaan posted a video titled "TINDER IN REAL LIFE || (INDIAN VERSION)," gathering over 7 million views in two months (seen below, left). On April 15th, YouTuber^[5] Clout Chasers posted a video recreating the Sidemen dating show as well, gathering over 300,000 views in two months (seen below, right).

On June 18th, 2023, TikToker^[6] @ziad_sultan posted a clip from the aforementioned Clout Chasers video, gathering over 2.6 million plays and 260,000 likes in a week (seen below, left). On June 23rd, TikToker^[7] @67jai posted a video parodying "Indian Sidemen," gathering over 1 million plays and 260,000 likes in a week (seen below, right).
