The meme, taken from a TikTok video, shows a person facing away from the camera standing near some water at night looking into the horizon. A prominent version of the meme juxtaposes various perceivably incel-coded music albums the person appears to be looking at.

Origin

On February 12th, 2022, TikToker^[1] @aj.mp4 posted a video to TikTok in which he can be seen gazing out onto a body of water at night, with a text overlay that reads, "Is pussy just a myth?" The video gathered over 15 million views and 3 million likes in roughly a year (seen below).

Spread

On March 9th, 2022, the Instagram^[2] page @illiberal.memes posted a version of the meme that was accompanied by various people's faces, gathering over 5,600 likes in a year (seen below, left). On March 12th, the Instagram^[3] page @xiu.shoegaze posted a version of the meme featuring albums by Semetary and Bladee, gathering over 5,000 likes in a year (seen below, right).

On March 11th, 2022, the Instagram^[4] page @geofuckinbasket posted a version of the meme that gathered over 900 likes in a year (seen below, left). On May 16th, the Instagram^[5] page @intellectualmimix then posted a version of the meme with the word "pussy" switched for "good CGPA," an Indian equivalent of GPA. The post gathered over 10,000 likes in a year (seen below, right).
