About
I've Never Met This Man In My Life refers to a memorable quote uttered by the character Loki in the 2017 Marvel superhero film Thor: Ragnarok. A screenshot of Loki saying the line has since been used online as a reaction image macro to express willful ignorance.
Origin
On October 21st, 2017, YouTube channel First Trailer uploaded an "extended clip" of the then-upcoming Marvel superhero film Thor: Ragnarok. In the clip, Loki's brother Thor (portrayed by Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth, respectively) is being tortured. When the torturer asks Loki if he knows Thor, Loki lies and says, "I've never met this man in my life" (clip below).
