The Jambastion Mages are a group of bosses called Francisca, Flamberge and Zan Partizanne who appear in the video game Kirby Star Allies. After the game's release they became a popular subject of fan art in artist communities such as DeviantArt and Tumblr.

Origin

The Jambastion Mages first appeared in the video game Kirby Star Allies upon its original release on March 16th, 2018. They act as Hyness's helpers in order to summon the main antagonist of the game, Void Termina. Francisca, Flamberge and Zan Partizanne have ice, fire and plasma power, respectively.^[1]

Spread

On February 15, 2018 a page for the Jambastion mages was created on the Kirby Wiki.^[1] The characters were quickly inspiration for fan art One DeviantArt user, Zieghost, published a series of fan-made Jambastion mages alongside with the canon ones (shown below).

On April 27th, 2018, Reddit user zieghost posted fan art of the characters to /r/kirby, gaining over 470 points (shown below).

On April 29, 2018, Twitter ^[2] user @reserved_kirby made a tweet containing data from a possible future update for Kirby Star Allies that implies a Wave 3 DLC featuring the Jambastion Mages alongside with other Kirby characters, such as Magolor, Susie and Taranza.

On November 8, 2018, the Wave 3 DLC trailer was released, in which confirms the mages as Dream Friends alongside with a new mode named "Heroes in Another Dimension", in which the mages will fight as a trio instead of individually.
