About

Jeff Bezos "Steep Cliff Fatal Drop" Warning or Come Over Here, I Want To Show You Something refers to an image of Jeff Bezos resting ominously on a sign warning about a steep cliff with a fatal drop that he threateningly tweeted at actor Leonardo DiCaprio after a video went viral showing Bezos' new girlfriend seemingly flirting with him at a public event. The tweet is captioned, "Leo, come over here, I want to show you something…" and was posted in November 2021, becoming popularized in image macros that month. DiCaprio and Bezos are allegedly friends and the tweet was made jokingly.

Origin

On November 7th, 2021, Twitter[1] page @2cooI2blog shared a video taken at the Art Gala in Los Angeles that shows Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend talking with actor Leonardo DiCaprio. Bezos' girlfriend hugs Leo and is seen smiling and looking up at him throughout the clip, then follows closely behind him as they walk off. The video was also shared by Twitter[2] page @barstoolsports that day captioned "Leo is Mr. Steal Yo Girl" (shown below). The video gained over 20.3 million views in five days.

As the video went viral people continued joking about DiCaprio stealing Bezos' girlfriend. On November 8th, Bezos tweeted[3] an image of himself on what seems to be a hiking trail, standing directly behind and resting on a sign reading "DANGER! STEEP CLIFF FATAL DROP" looking right at the camera with a hat and sunglasses on (shown below). The post is captioned "Leo, come over here, I want to show you something…" as if Bezos is trying to lure DiCaprio off the cliff for stealing his girlfriend. It gained over 270,000 likes and 60,000 retweets (including quote-retweets) in four days.

Some people took the post as a sign that Bezos and DiCaprio are enemies or feuding. A Page Six[4] article published November 9th claims DiCaprio and Bezos are "close friends" according to anonymous sources.
