Joe Biden Biting Baby, also known as Biting Biden, refers to a series of memes using a picture of U.S. President Joe Biden biting a baby dressed as a chicken during the White House Halloween event in late October 2024. The exploitable image went viral on X / Twitter, Instagram and Reddit shortly after it was shared online, spawning parodies and Photoshop edits of Biden biting the baby or other things replacing it.

Origin

On October 30th, 2024, the New York Post^[1] uploaded a picture of U.S. President Joe Biden playfully biting a baby dressed up as a chicken during a Halloween celebration at the White House. The post (seen below) amassed over 26 million views and 28,000 likes in two days.

Spread

Throughout the next few days, people online joked about President Biden's playful gesture with the baby, creating photoshops and memes using the image. For example, on October 31st, 2024, X^[2] user and YouTuber Justin Whang (@JustinWhang) uploaded a parody of the 1980s Anthropophagus movie poster (a film in which a cannibal eats a fetus) adding the picture of Biden biting the baby. The post (seen below) received roughly 270 likes and 20 reposts in a day.

On the same day, The Sun's official YouTube^[3] channel posted a video showing that Biden reportedly bit three babies during the White House Halloween event. The video (seen below) amassed more than 40,000 views and 630 likes in a day.

Also on October 31st, 2024, Redditor^[4] FlakFlanker3 posted a Political Compass meme to the subreddit /r/PoliticalCompassMemes using the image to joke about the adrenochrome harvesting conspiracy theory, receiving over 620 upvotes and 80 comments in 19 hours (seen below).
