Kit Harington Shocked refers to a reaction image macro of Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington's expression of surprise after reading the finale of Games of Thrones.

Origin

On May 26th, 2019, HBO aired the documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, a behind-the-scenes film about the making of the final season of the series.^[1] Early in the film, the cast participates in a table read of the final episode. When Harington reads the final revelation about his character Jon Snow, he looks shocked.

That day, Twitter user @jorywea posted a video of the moment. The tweet received more than 4,700 retweets, 16,000 likes and 7.4 million views (shown below).

That day, people began sharing images of Harington's reaction. Twitter^[2] user @MalissaTormey tweeted, "Kit Harington’s reaction when he learns that Jon Snow kills Daenerys during the table-read." Within two days, the tweet received more than 13,000 retweets and 69,000 likes (shown below, left).

Others used his reaction as a joke about their own emotions. Twitter^[3] user @_paulinesofia tweeted, "me realizing that game of thrones will be over forever." The tweet received more than 680 retweets and 2,800 likes in two days (shown below, center).
