Let Me Do It For You, also known as the Miss Piggy "Cellophane" Cover, refers to a parody cover of FKA Twigs' song "Cellophane" performed in the voice of the Muppet Miss Piggy speaking to the character Kermit the Frog. In February 2022 a voice memo of someone singing the song as Miss Piggy was posted to YouTube and later that year it was remixed to add the instrumental and uploaded to TikTok, becoming a viral original sound. A viral video featuring a Borzoi dog sticking its nose in a pringles can also became prominently associated with the sound in January 2023.

Origin

In February 2022, now disabled Instagram user boyfriend.dick3 (now boyfriend.dick5) posted a video to their Story of an iMessage voice note where they sing FKA Twigs' "Cellophane"^[2] in the voice of Miss Piggy. On February 24th, YouTuber^[1] Will Orrick reposted the video garnering over 40,900 views in a year.

On September 8th, Twitter^[13] user @vibe_scepter posted a video of Miss Piggy's face remixing the acapella verse with the backing track from "Cellophane," garnering around 270 likes in four months (shown below).

On November 24th, TikToker^[3] @ajasman posted a video of the same Miss Piggy face under a caption about getting "rawdogged" by a man who hasn't even kissed her yet set to the remixed version of the song, garnering over 1.9 million views in two months (now deleted). The song was shared by Twitter^[4] user @bklynb4by on November 27th, garnering over 60,000 likes in two months.

On December 31st, Twitter^[8] user @boyfriend__dick, who owns the boyfriend.dick5 Instagram page, posted, "One of my greatest accomplishments this year was being the voice of Miss Piggy singing Cellophane," garnering over 19,000 likes in a month. They also posted the original video, showing more of the text conversation surrounding the voice note, garnering over 3,500 likes in a month (shown below).

Spread

The original sound for @ajasman's TikTok upload grew in popularity throughout November 2022 and the following months, seeing over 24,000 uses in two months. One of the earliest popular uses of the sound was uploaded by TikToker^[5] @siddharth.jay on November 29th, 2022, garnering over 290,000 views in two months (shown below).

On December 28th, TikToker^[6] @adannaduru posted a video where she sings the song in a similar Miss Piggy impression, garnering over 869,000 views in six days (shown below, left). The sound is largely used over videos of funny-looking dogs and animals. For example, on December 29th, TikToker^[7] @alexandria.music posted a video of her dog with a very long neck over the sound, garnering over 6.5 million views in five days (shown below, right).

Borzoi 'Let Me Do It For You' TikToks

On December 11th, 2022, TikToker^[9] sugarthesilken posted a video of her Borzoi taking a bath and using the Miss Piggy cover of 'Cellophane' as the TikTok sound, earning roughly 9.9 million plays and 2 million likes in one month (shown below, left). Other Borzoi owners on the app followed her lead, such as TikToker^[10] thatoingosmyboingo on December 13th, 2022, who received roughly 3.7 million plays and 829,000 likes in one month (shown below, right).

On January 7th, 2023, TikToker^[11] drawzillazzz posted an original animation that used the Miss Piggy "Cellophane" cover and showed a Borzoi helping its owner get to the bottom chips in a Pringles can. Over the course of four days, the TikTok received roughly 45.7 million plays and 5.4 million likes (shown below, left). Later on January 7th, 2023, TikToker^[12] alyssa.rileyyy dueted the animation with their own Borzoi, gaining roughly 12.4 million plays and 803,000 likes in four days (shown below, right).
