About
Custom Wood Burning is a comedy TikTok page run by TikToker @onlyylimestoes that parodies bad small businesses and Etsy creators. The account solicited requests for designs burned onto small wooden pieces and often goes on TikTok Live to interact with fans while making bad wood-burning art based on audience requests.
Origin
On April 13th, 2021, TikToker[1] @customwoodburning posted their first video to TikTok, making a custom wood burning on a wooden clothespin for Karen from Missouri. The video gathered over 1.8 million views and 250,000 likes in over two years (seen below, left). On April 14th, she posted a video engraving "I love you to the mon and back",[2] gathering over 6.4 million views and 800,000 likes in two years (seen below, right).

The creator began taking Etsy commissions priced at around $10 around the same time. Her Etsy shop is called BurnMyWood.[6]

On April 15th, 2021, Custom Wood Burning posted a video that gathered over 9.5 million views and 780,000 likes in two years (seen below, left).[3] On April 19th, 2021, TikToker[4] @onlyylimestoes, the creator behind the custom wood-burning account, posted a video acting indignant about people changing their profile pictures to her creations, gathering over 400,000 views and 70,000 likes (seen below, right).

On June 21st, 2021, YouTuber[5] @PewDiePie reacted to a Custom Wood Burning video, bringing renewed viewership to her page (seen below).
On June 22nd, 2022, TikToker[7] @noahglenncarter posted a video noting how much money Custom Wood Burnings might be making from her TikTok Lives and from her Etsy shop, which sold at least 2,000 pieces in just a few months (seen below).
